Incredible performance:

This TIFTOO is one of my favorites of the year. The jam sandwiched between Drums is just awesome. The Dancin' and Lovelight > NFA > Lovelight is electrifying, as is Pig's performance of Man's World. Absolutely gorgeous Candyman too, and one of the first renditions.

dude, I was just gonna comment about this one. Its well
known, and deserves another mention.
The show and the sound are spectacular, and the Mans World is my fav by far. Cant wait to give this one a proper
listen to at max volume (without getting fired).
Good looking out again deniro~

That recording is incredible, but recording quality aside, I like this Man's World performance better.

Download it, drop the mid-range a bit, boost the bottom and the high freqs, crank the volume and you'll experience REAL live Dead.

Pigpen's voice is really fresh and Bob just doesn't let up, constantly pushing it all FORWARD.

That is another grate Mans World for sure ~ and a killer
show indeed. Once Pig showed up, he sure threw it down.
Your recording is excellent as far as Im
concerned: very "being there", and authentic. Love it.
Im sure this show is very near and dear to you, and thanks
for capturing it ~ sincerely.
Would love to read about some stories from THAT night :)
I really like the potato chip bag
wrinkling sound during FOTD too btw: Cracked me up.
From your mic to our ears. You deserve a round of applause
for getting this to us my good sir.

And its also nice to know that GoP and I agree on something.
I didn't even knew we disagreed...

We agree on something? This is the best Man's World. Soulful, not sloppy, just right.

Yup, I am a big fan of 69 April shows, mainly due to the outstanding runs of 4-4/5/6 & 4-21/22/23. This is one of the only 70 yr April shows that matches up (truth is, for 70, it's all about May). Same thing happens in 68 (nothing for April, really).

Not that this matters a jot--my odd book-keeping system always reminds me of months w missing shows, if you follow...
